ANTIQUARIUM OF BOSCOREALE TOUR
The magnificent “Villa Regina” was built in the 1st century BC in the suburb of Pompeii. Founded in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, it is now open to the public. Inside, around a courtyard that houses the wine cell, there are the environments used for agricultural work: the torcularium, with the remains of the wooden press, the squeezing tank and the container for the collection of the must, the “triclinium “, Decorated with wall paintings, the kitchen with a masonry oven and the barn for the storage of hay, cereals and legumes.
Next to the villa is the modern museum structure of the Antiquarium, which illustrates the life of man and the ecosystem of the suburb of Pompeii.
