GUIDED PRIVATE TOUR TO PIETRARSA NATIONAL RAILWAY MUSEUM A magical and evocative place, the "Salone delle vaporiere", opens the 5,000 square meters museum space dedicated to the most important steam locomotives of the Italian railways. Throughout the beginning of the journey it will be possible to appreciate the 1939 copy of the "Bayard locomotive", twin of the Vesuvius that on 3 October 1839 towed the inaugural convoy of the first railway line of Italy, Naples-Portici. On both sides of the salon, aligned on two opposite sides, are the locomotives, a steam and electric, which made the history of steam traction in Italy.
